GE 29586GE1 GE Corded Desktop Speakerphone with Tilt Screen Review from Aram Attarashany techman. Does anybody know how to make a good quality phone anymore?, I bought this stone at a specialty store. It’s now back in the carton again awaiting return. I set it up according to the instructions, but when I lifted the receiver was the big showstopper. I could not get a dial tone, seriously! The line was dead! When I pressed the speaker activate key, there was a confirmation tone, but nothing else. I tried in another room thinking that my phone jack was busted but NO. Same BS.
So I found the tech support line, and they told me that GE is not the manufacturer of this phone. (Can you believe it? I mean come on!), but rather a brand called Thomson. Yet it still has the GE logo on it! I called the number that they gave me, but all I got was a recording telling me to call them back during their normal business hours. They didn’t even tell me what the hours were!
Whatever I do for my remaing 60-70 years, I WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER BUY A GE PRODUCT AGAIN.
Can we just go back in time to the days of the GOOD technology?
